This past winter was one for the records here in Emerald Isle, starting on January 31, 2026 the snow started and over the next two days the island was left with drifts exceeding five feet, this left the entire area trapped inside, were it not for the folks at Food Lion for boarding on the Island in preparation for the Storm we would have quickly run out of resources (Thank you!)
